About the Festival
The 96th Chunhyang Festival, boasting Korea's deepest history and tradition, is a traditional cultural festival that began in 1931 during the Japanese colonial period to inspire national pride and honor the noble spirit of Seong Chunhyang. Originating from Danoje, which commemorates the meeting of Chunhyang and Lee Mongryong, it is now evolving into a global cultural platform. Amidst the beautiful scenery of Gwanghalluwon Garden, traditional performances and modern light displays blend harmoniously, offering lively shows during the day and a romantic ambiance at night, creating a venue where tradition and modernity unite.
