About the Festival
This is Yeongwol's representative local cultural festival, commemorating the spirit of King Danjong, the 6th monarch of the Joseon Dynasty, and his loyal subjects. Visitors can directly experience Danjong's history and culture through various traditional experiences and performances, including the State Funeral of Danjong, ancestral rites, the Queen Jeongsun Selection Contest, and kudzu vine tug-of-war.
