About the Festival
Started in 1993, the 'Daegwallyeong Snow Festival' is South Korea's first winter festival, boasting over 30 years of history. This festival, which has grown with the goals of revitalizing the local economy and promoting community harmony, has been reborn with the theme 'Nundongi, a Winter Sports Prodigy's Journey to National Representation'. Visitors can vividly experience the growth process of 'Nundongi', the mascot dreaming of becoming a national representative for the 2026 Milan Olympics, through gigantic snow and ice sculptures and dynamic winter sports experience zones.
