This is Korea's first Red Color Festival with a deep and long history, starting as the 1st festival in 2007 centered on Hanwoo (Korean beef) and apples, and reaching its 19th edition in 2025. Especially from 2024, the festival has expanded its items beyond the existing agricultural specialty products of Hanwoo and apples to Jangsu Red Food (Hanwoo, apples, omija berries, tomatoes), and has expanded the scope of the festival to processed products such as apple beer, apple soju, apple bread, and omija liquor. By expanding its scope from Korea's first Red Color Festival to Korea's first Red Food Festival, it is elevating its status as a representative cultural tourism festival of Korea.
