The Ulsan Soeburi Festival is Korea's only iron culture festival. Dalcheon Iron Mine is the country's first iron production site, producing high-quality iron from the Proto-Three Kingdoms period to modern times, and where the two-thousand-year history of iron that gave birth to Ulsan, a global industrial city today, breathes. The Ulsan Soeburi Festival is the most Ulsan-like festival, held every May since 2005 to inherit and develop Ulsan's industrial history and traditional iron-making culture.
The Ulsan Soeburi Festival consists of Soeburi events (Ulsan Soeburi Skill, Ulsan Soeburi Song, Soeburi Blacksmith Shop), performance events (Hope Flame Lighting Ceremony, Percussion Festa Duduri, Kkumburi Concert, Soeburi 'Heung' Singing Contest, Citizen Concert Neo.Na.Du., Our Neighborhood Talent Show, Daedong Nanjang Bulmaeya), experience events (Soeburi Experience Zone, Cheolcheolcheol Noriteo, Cheolcheolcheol Munhwajangteo), exhibition events (Drone Light Show, Hyundai Motor Company Promotion Hall, Empty Can Alley), and food events (Food Market, Food Trucks).
