*The festival content below is for the previous year (2025); the content for the 2026 festival is currently being updated.* The Hadong Wild Tea Cultural Festival is a government-designated honorary culture and tourism festival held annually in May in Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, the first tea cultivation site in Korea. Hadong wild tea, cultivated in a blessed natural environment, has long been known for its excellent taste and aroma. Following the 2023 Hadong World Tea Expo, its recognition as a 'Tea Healing Cultural City' and the brand value of its tea industry and culture have been enhanced, and it will celebrate its 28th anniversary in 2025. If you visit Hadong in May, when freshness is added with a green light through 'busking in a teacup' and 'moving art museum,' spaces where music and art harmonize, and various healing programs such as tea classes, book talks, and walking along the Cheonnyeon Dahyang-gil (Thousand-Year Tea Scent Road), you can fully experience the special moments of daily life with a cup of tea and the taste and charm of Hadong. This year, especially on Children's Day, May 5th, the whole family will be able to enjoy it together through various Children's Day programs.
