Chuncheon Mime Festival

Festival Highlights
- Korea's representative performing arts festival
- One of the world's top 3 mime festivals

The Chuncheon Mime Festival is Korea's representative performing arts festival that connects cities, art, and citizens through mime, an art that conveys emotion through body movement. It is held every year in the last week of May in Chuncheon, the city of water and spring, and is recognized as one of the world's top three mime festivals, along with the Mimos Mime Festival in France and the London Mime Festival in the UK, raising its international status. Through the fusion and convergence of silent movement with water, fire, flowers, light, video, and various other genres, it creates a new genre called 'Chuncheon+Mime+Festival' from the emotions and hearts of the city and its citizens, and it is a 'Nanjang' festival that unravels the desires of the city and the times through artistic gestures.
The 2026 Chuncheon Mime Festival will be held from May 24th to May 31st under the theme of 'Body Scenery', showcasing various 'body sceneries' throughout Chuncheon City for 8 days, starting with the opening Nanjang 'Ah! Surajang', followed by theater performances, 'Mime While Walking', 'Art Nanjang X', and the overnight 'Dokkaebi Nanjang'.

Overnight Nanjang 'Dokkaebi Nanjang': A killer content of the Chuncheon Mime Festival where goblin-like artists and attendees play until sunrise, featuring performances of various genres such as mime, dance, circus, aerial, body movement programs by artists, and spaces decorated by local youth. 3.
