The Jeongseon Arirang Festival, which began with the aim of preserving and passing down Jeongseon Arirang, is a festival where you can enjoy performances by Jeongseon Arirang holders, various genres of performances, folk demonstrations, and experiences. It showcases the true essence of Arirang and its new, modern interpretations.
The Jeongseon Arirang Festival consists of main programs, subsidiary programs, consumer participation programs, and other content. The main program includes the opening ceremony theme performance, "Jeongseon, My Hometown! I Want to Go to Jeongseon!\" Subsidiary programs include the National Arirang Singing Competition (General & Student Divisions), A-POP Dance Competition, Arirang Singing Contest, Musical Performance 'Aria Rari', Jeongseon County Arirang Art Troupe Performance, Arirang Parade, Traditional Culture Experience Exhibition, and various fringe performances. Consumer participation programs include the Jeongseon Traditional Maenggeuljang, food market, and night market. Additionally, international invited performances and various fringe stage performances are held for 4 days.
