The Geumsan Ginseng Festival is held annually in Geumsan, Chungcheongnam-do, the home of Goryeo ginseng, boasting a history of over 1,500 years. The Geumsan Ginseng Festival has been selected as the nation's best festival 10 times by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and designated as an Honorary Culture and Tourism Festival.
Visitors can experience ginseng harvesting, a health experience center, and the International Ginseng Trade Fair where ginseng processed products can be purchased at low prices. Traditional ginseng culture experiences and future-oriented family participation content, combining robots and AI technology with ginseng, are also prepared. Main programs include red ginseng pack massage experience, ginseng harvesting experience, ginseng art experience, and the International Ginseng Trade Fair, while side events include the Geumsan Ginseng marketplace, street radio show, and the Geumsan Ginseng King Contest.
It is held at Geumsan World Ginseng Expo Plaza. The address is 30 Insamgwangjang-ro, Geumsan-eup, Geumsan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do.
Admission is free, and some programs incur a fee of 2,000 KRW to 3,000 KRW.
