The Jeollabyeongyeongseong Festival is a historical and cultural festival held at Jeollabyeongyeongseong Fortress in Byeongyeong-myeon, Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do. It is based on the historical background of Byeongyeongseong Fortress, which served as a military hub overseeing Jeolla-do and Jeju-do during the Joseon Dynasty. The festival utilizes the actual fortress walls and ruins of Jeollabyeongyeongseong, which was used as a military facility for about 500 years, making it possible to vividly experience the atmosphere of a Joseon Dynasty military camp. During the festival, various programs such as traditional costume experiences, soldier training reenactments, and traditional performances are operated to allow visitors to naturally experience the life and culture of that era. Furthermore, through events held along the fortress walls and various experiential activities, it is an participatory festival where visitors can not only watch but also directly participate and enjoy.
