Its name, derived from its resemblance to a 'golchae' (a large bamboo sieve for grain), a tool for holding grain, perfectly describes its cozy and tranquil atmosphere. Every spring, royal cherry blossoms bloom profusely along its gentle ridges, creating a spectacular scene where the entire oreum is covered in light pink clouds. The Golchaeoreum Cherry Blossom Festival is held to share this natural beauty with the community. During the festival, in addition to a walking path along a cherry blossom tunnel, there will be delightful music performances to entertain the eyes and ears, and a food market showcasing the generous spirit of the village. Thanks to its gentle trails that anyone, young or old, can comfortably ascend, it is the perfect place to enjoy the excitement of spring with family and loved ones.
