"Geotjaing" combines a dialect word and the present progressive "ing," meaning to walk and enjoy Geumnam-ro together. In line with Gwangju's declaration to transform into a "Public Transportation, Bicycle, and Pedestrian City," this event aims to overcome the climate crisis and promote such modes of transport, creating a street for urban relaxation and communication. The event provides an environment where citizens can freely walk and offers various experiential programs and cultural performances.
It will be held on the first Saturday of every month from April to November in 2026. The location is the area around Jeonil Building 245, 245 Geumnam-ro, Dong-gu, Gwangju (Geumnam-ro 1-ga).
