Cheongju Gardening Festival

The Cheongju Gardening Festival is a representative garden culture festival held annually in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do, offering a special event where visitors can experience nature and art simultaneously in the city center. It is a complex festival where experience, relaxation, and enjoyment coexist, featuring the creation of various themed gardens, gardening classes, talk concerts with garden experts, and cultural and artistic performances.

You can view various gardens including artist/citizen gardens, invited gardens participated by artist Yoon Seon-mi, and participatory gardens designed by students and citizen gardeners. Exhibitions of native flowers, orchids, geraniums, and terrariums are also held.

Experience programs such as gardening classes (making flower pots), mobile companion plant clinics, Wood-Deuk Festa, and 'Let's Play in the Garden' are held, along with cultural performances including the Cocobora Plant Science Show, bubble shows, famous singer performances, and Garden Cinema.

You can find garden-related industrial products such as plants, flowers, fertilizers, pots, garden supplies, and landscaping supplies.

The festival will be held at Saengmyeongnuri Park (18 Millennium 1-ro, Cheongwon-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do (Jujung-dong)) from May 7 to May 10, 2026.

Admission is free, and some experience programs are operated for a fee.
