Since 2005, Anyang City has been transforming the entire city into an open-air museum by installing public art pieces in its beautiful forests, rivers, daily living spaces, and roadsides through the Anyang Public Art Project (hereinafter referred to as APAP). The APAP Artwork Tour is a program where visitors can walk with an art docent through the beautiful forests and rivers of Anyang Art Park and Pyeongchon area, as well as urban and everyday parks, to appreciate public artworks from the 1st to 7th editions of APAP, which began in 2005. It conveys stories of various public art pieces including fine art, sculpture, architecture, design, and performance, embracing Anyang's history and urban culture.
The APAP Artwork Tour consists of a regular tour and a special tour. The regular tour includes a program to appreciate 15-20 public artworks of APAP while walking along the beautiful forests and rivers of Anyang Art Park, and another program to appreciate about 10 public artworks of APAP while walking through urban parks and daily spaces in the Pyeongchon area. The special tour is a program to enjoy the unique scenery of Anyang Art Park with subtle lighting on a cool evening and appreciate the artworks.
The tour takes place at Anyang Pavilion (Anyang Art Park), Pyeongchon area (Jungang Park), etc. The address is 180 YesulGongwon-ro, Manan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do (Anyang-dong).
General admission is 3,000 won, youth (under 19) is 1,000 won. Special tour fees are separate.
