Mulgeum Cherry Blossom Festival

Festival Highlights
- Family healing festival
- Largest waterfront park on Nakdong River

The Mulgeum Cherry Blossom Festival is held annually from late March to early April, during the cherry blossom season, centered around Hwangsan Park, the largest waterfront park along the Nakdong River, and the cherry blossom path extending along the Mulgeum Station railway tracks. It aims to create a family healing festival that people of all ages can enjoy and to revitalize the local commercial district. Starting as a small-scale event led by the residents of Mulgeum-eup, the festival has expanded and has been held as a representative city festival since 2024.
The festival is held centered around Hwangsan Park and the cherry blossom path extending along the Mulgeum Station railway tracks. The address is 275 Hwangsan Park 1-gil, Mulgeum-eup, Yangsan-si, Gyeongsangnam-do (Hwangsan Park).
Official events include a pre-event performance, opening ceremony, congratulatory performance, and closing performance. Stage programs feature a family musical (Bread Barbershop), a performance by the Yangsan Children's Choir (Love Angels), and performances by local artists. Consumer participation programs include the Blossom DIY Zone (cherry blossom tattoos, hand cream making, shrink cherry blossom keyring making, etc.), "Spring Cooking" food class operation (making picnic lunch boxes using local spring specialties such as water parsley and strawberries), A-tent rest area, and nighttime cherry blossom path operation. Additionally, the "Track of Memory" photo exhibition, Mulgeum-eup Saemaul Women's Association food booth, Food Truck Road, and a small business flea market are also operated.
For the cherry blossom path, sections originally used as roadways will be temporarily restricted to pedestrians only, allowing visitors to walk freely and enjoy their outing. Additionally, scenic lighting will be implemented to create a beautifully sparkling promenade even at night.
Admission is free. However, some programs such as experience booths and food stalls operate for a fee.
