*The festival content below is from the previous year (2025), and the 2026 festival content is currently being updated.* The Yeongdong Nangye Gugak Festival is a cultural and artistic performance festival held annually, celebrating Gugak (Korean traditional music) as a cultural heritage and traditional art form of Yeongdong-gun. It aims to commemorate the musical achievements of Master Nangye Park Yeon and contribute to the promotion of traditional culture and arts. The 55th Yeongdong Nangye Gugak Festival seeks to promote Gugak, a heritage of Korea, worldwide, contributing to the resurgence of the second Korean Wave. As Korea's only Gugak festival, it endeavors to modernize and inherit traditional culture and arts through diverse Gugak performances and experience programs, and to utilize local characteristics to develop the festival into a regional tourism resource. It also provides a place for community harmony through the improvement of local residents' cultural standards and voluntary participation.

Performances: Fusion Gugak performances, Gugak busking, Chwitadae special parade, International performance groups (CIOFF), Nangye Gugak Orchestra performances, Pungmul union performances, Nangye Gugak Broadcasting Station, Traditional children's outdoor play 2. Official Events: Drumming ceremony, Sungmoje (memorial ritual), National Top 10 K-Pop Show 3. Experiences: Traditional instrument making and playing experience, Youth Gathering (Challenge! Gugak Golden Bell), Eco-friendly children's kids zone, Stamp rally, Joseon Celebrity Hanbok experience, Large Gugak instrument photo zone, Emotional flea market, Pungnyu experience (nail art, tattoos, 'Life Four Cuts' photo booth) 4.
