In May, when melon flowers bloom, the "Seongju Melon & Life Culture Festival" will be held for 4 days from May 14th (Thursday) to May 17th (Sunday) in Seongju, Gyeongbuk, embracing the Royal Placenta Chamber of King Sejong's Son, where King Danjong's placenta chamber is located. The festival begins on the first day with a reenactment procession of the Royal Placenta Chamber and a civic harmony program, followed by the opening ceremony (theme performance, celebratory performance), Melon Singing Contest, Concert of Light and Love of Life, Byeolmoe Tug-of-War, and other diverse events. Additionally, Seed Island for families with children, a Melon Lounge offering abundant melon tastings, recreation, and game experience programs, and a Life Walkway, Life Theme Pavilion, and Melon Healing Park set against the beautiful old willow trees of Seongbaksup Forest are operated to add special charm.

Admission is free. However, some experience programs are operated for a fee.
