The Seoul Circus Festival is hosted by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture and is the only festival in Korea specializing in the genre of circus. Held annually around Children's Day, this festival offers a special opportunity to experience a variety of performances, from traditional circus acts that are rarely seen to contemporary circus acts reinterpreted in a modern way, all in one place. Dynamic performances such as aerial acrobatics, tightrope walking, juggling, and acrobatics, which seem to test the limits of human capability, provide audiences with thrilling awe and emotion simultaneously. Furthermore, this festival goes beyond mere viewing, offering hands-on programs where citizens can learn basic circus skills, along with exhibitions and flea markets, adding to the joy of the festival. Aiming to be an open festival enjoyable for all ages, it is a representative spring festival in Seoul that provides unforgettable memories for family visitors and a new creative platform for artists.
Approximately 10 high-quality circus performances from Korea and abroad are prepared. In addition, experiential programs and exhibitions will also be operated.
