Jeongsunwanghu Cultural Festival

Festival Highlights
- Story of Queen Jeongsun
- Purple longing

Dongmangbong Peak in Sungin-dong, Jongno-gu, holds the poignant story of Queen Jeongsun, the consort of Joseon's 6th King Danjong. Her traces remain here, having faced separation at just eighteen years old and longing for her beloved while gazing at the eastern sky for over 60 years. In the spring of 2026, we aim to transform that deep 'purple longing' into 'hope and comfort'. The Jeongsunwanghu Cultural Festival is held to commemorate the warm hearts of the neighboring people who silently protected the lonely queen.
1. Main Programs - Tea ceremony (memorial ritual), Cultural performances (original musical, traditional Korean music performance) 2. Ancillary Programs - Experience booths, Jeongsunwanghu Sumgyeol-gil Trail exploration (alleyway commentary, Jeon-gisu program), Photo zone, etc. 3. Experience Program Information - Free: Folk game experience - Paid (5,000 won): Natural dyeing, knot craft experience, traditional musical instrument experience, beona-doligi (spinning plate) experience
