The Seoul International Book Fair is a joyous book festival where creators, readers, writers, scholars, artists, editors, and readers gather to share knowledge and information. Celebrating its 68th anniversary this year, the Seoul International Book Fair began as an educational exhibition in 1947 and was elevated to an international book fair in 1995. It has since grown into a central hub for cultural exchange, diplomacy, and trade through books. With the growth of Korean culture, art, and academia, it has established itself as one of Asia's leading book fairs, introducing Korean books and culture to the world as Korea's largest book festival. The Seoul International Book Fair operates publisher booths from around the world, organizes exhibitions and lectures, and also manages the Korean Pavilion at overseas book fairs and hosts guest-of-honor events.
