Festival Overview
The Daegu Chimac Festival is Daegu's representative summer cultural tourism festival, the largest food and beverage festival in Korea, combining 'chicken' and 'beer.' Since its first staging in 2013, it has attracted over 1 million visitors, greatly contributing to regional economic revitalization and enhancing Daegu's global brand value. Beyond a simple food and beverage festival, it offers abundant entertainment through diverse programs including performances, exhibitions, experiences, corporate promotions, and global exchanges. The 2025 Daegu Chimac Festival will be held for five days from July 2nd to 6th around Duryu Park. The main venue, 2.28 Freedom Plaza, will be decorated with a water concert theme combining water play and electronic music, and a 360-degree central stage will be newly introduced. Various themed spaces such as 'Daefrica Waterpia' and 'Blood Horror Club' will be created, and sculptures and photo zones in collaboration with famous artists will further enhance the festive atmosphere.
