The Hongcheon River Kkungkung Festival, featuring ginseng trout, is held every January in Hongcheon, Gangwon-do. Visitors of all ages can easily enjoy ice fishing, bare-handed trout catching, and even an indoor family fishing spot where children can see and fish, making it very popular. Experience even more thrilling fun with the most delicious 800g ginseng trout and special large ginseng trout. In addition, various food and entertainment options are available, including an ice sledding area, a thatched-roof house landscape for a taste of rural charm, a winter folk playground, and local food restaurants.

Additionally, ancillary events such as an opening ceremony, Kkungkung DJ booth, stage performances, Empty-handed Angler Event, and a lucky draw, as well as promotional exhibition events like a tourist information center, corporate promotion hall, and photo contest, will be held.
