The '2025 Yeongju Sobaeksan Royal Azalea Festival' will be held for two days from May 31st to June 1st in the area of Seocheon Embankment and Sobaeksan Mountain in Yeongju, as the royal azaleas on Sobaeksan Mountain come into full bloom in May. Diverse programs for the whole family to enjoy are prepared, including children's career experience (KidZania), a flower healing camp (picnic zone), a heavenly garden royal azalea photo zone, a regional coexistence accompanying market, and experience zones. In the Sobaeksan area, a Sobaeksan healing event will be held to welcome hikers visiting Yeongju with excitement during the royal azalea blooming season. At the Yeongju Sobaeksan Royal Azalea Festival, you can enjoy the joy of love with your beloved family, lovers, and friends through exciting cultural and artistic experience programs such as the For:rest Picnic Concert and celebrity congratulatory performances.
The festival will be held from May 23rd to May 24th, 2026. The main venues are the Sobaeksan Mountain area and Punggi Ginseng Culture Pop-up Park in Yeongju-si, and the address is 509 Samga-ro, Punggi-eup, Yeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
Stage programs include the Fpr:est Picnic Concert and the opening/closing ceremonies. Ancillary programs include the Heavenly Garden Royal Azalea Photo Zone, For:Rest Flower Healing Camp, Kkotkkot Farmfarm (Flower Sales & Exhibition Zone), Regional Coexistence Accompanying Market, Yeongju Sobaeksan Visitor Welcome Event, Jukjukjeui Ritual, Juknyeong Old Road Walking, and a Forest Concert. Consumer participation programs include Azaleas Drawn by Citizens, Children's Career Experience (KidZania), a Woodcraft Experience Zone, permanent experience programs (Life Four-Cuts Photo Booth, Volunteer Center Experience, Sobaeksan National Park Office Experience, Yeongju Cultural & Tourism Foundation Cultural Arts Team Associated Events, etc.), and a local agricultural and special product sales booth. The main program features Sobaeksan Trekking and a Mountain Competition. Other contents include a food zone (food trucks and delivery zone) and mountain safety campaign promotion.
