The Gokseong World Rose Festival, held at Gokseong Seomjingang Train Village, a landmark of Gokseong-gun, features 1,004 types of rare European roses and tens of thousands of seasonal flowers planted in a large 75,000㎡ rose garden, offering unique and spectacular sights. This aims to attract domestic and international tourists, thereby driving the local tourism industry and revitalizing the local economy.
A variety of programs are prepared. Resident participation programs include the Gokseong Youth Dream Orchestra and the All-Day Rose Parade. Main programs include the Romantic Rose Proposal, Rose Cinema, Rose Garden Brass Carnival, Rose Garden Busking Challenge, Moonlight Rose Classic, and World Yodel Festival. Ancillary programs include Rhythm & Rose Music, Rose Groove Concert, Dog Life Sculpture Exhibition, Gokseong World Rose Festival Commemorative Special Exhibition, and Gokseong Children's Library Festival Commemorative Program. Consumer participation programs include Find the Lucky Golden Rose, Rose Talk Talk Event, Rosie's Stamp Tour, and various experience programs.
Admission is charged. Individual fees are 5,000 won for adults, and 4,500 won for children and senior citizens. Group fees (30 or more adults, 15 or more children and seniors) are 4,500 won for adults, and 4,000 won for children and senior citizens. Gokseong residents, national merit contributors, and people with disabilities are admitted free of charge.
The festival is held at Gokseong Seomjingang Train Village. The address is 232 Gichamaeul-ro, Ogok-myeon, Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do.
The festival will run from May 22, 2026, to May 31, 2026.
