The "Daejeon Science Festival," held in conjunction with the 2026 Korea Science Festival, is the largest science event in Korea, co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Daejeon Metropolitan City. It is held to experience the changes that scientific and technological advancements will bring to our daily lives, and to communicate and prepare for the future with the public. Various entities, including government, public, and private companies and organizations, participate, offering a wide range of science and culture programs and content, such as exhibitions, experiences, performances, lectures, and competitions, from cutting-edge science and technology to science integrated into daily life, for everyone from teenagers to adults to enjoy together. Beyond being a representative science festival in Korea, it will open a new chapter for science and technology culture as an urban festival that engages with the public and a leading global science festival.
The festival consists of programs with various themes. At the 'Science Future Research Institute', you can enjoy the Science AI Station, Special Exhibition Hall for Research Institute Achievements, Science Experience Booths, Science Attraction Hall, Science Arena, and Drone Racing Experience. The 'Science Green Park' will feature the Korea Science Festival, an integrated opening ceremony, the D-FOOD Zone, and food trucks. The 'Science Art Bridge' will offer a Science Gallery, Artiance Busking, and photo zone events. At the 'Science Garden', you can experience a garden concert, eco-friendly activities, and the Kkumssi Family Photo Zone, while the 'Science Adventure' will feature RC car racing, the Paper Pilot paper airplane competition, and Black and White Scientist Season 2. Additionally, auxiliary programs such as 'National Science Museum Science Day', 'AI Stamp Tour', 'Science Family City Tour', 'Science Docent Tour', and 'K-Science City Tour' will also be operated.
It will be held at DCC Daejeon Convention Center Exhibition Hall 2, located at 87 Expo-ro, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon (Doryong-dong).
Admission is free.
It will be held from April 17, 2026, to April 19, 2026.
