It is a representative festival of Korea that is enjoyed and remembered through culture. It aims to implement a festival that takes a step forward through new programs and content enhancement. Sustainable win-win cooperation has been strengthened through community-participatory operations. By reinforcing festival infrastructure, a comfortable and safe festival venue centered on tourists is provided.

Main programs include folk painting and media art exhibition/experience, Maehwakkot Hwalteo Maehwa Sapung (Plum Blossom Archery), Seomjingang Riverboat experience, Light steps on the Plum Blossom Road, Gwangyang Maehwa Stamp Tour, Maedori Play Zone, Spring Love Letter from Maehwa Village, Maehwa Village Life 4-cut Photo Zone, Maehwa Life Photo Studio, and Golden Plum Blossom/Plum GET Event. Side programs include the Secret Garden, Seomjingang River Freshwater Clam Catching by Hand experience, Walking along Koreadulle-gil following plum blossoms, and Plum Blossom Antique Exhibition. Consumer participation programs include the Daap-myeon Direct Market and Gwangyang City Agricultural and Special Products Sales Booth (Plum beverage tasting). Admission is charged: 6,000 won for adults, 5,000 won for teenagers. The full admission fee is refunded as vouchers.
