The Gangdong Prehistoric Culture Festival, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, is the only festival in Seoul themed around the prehistoric era. It boasts a variety of programs that highlight the historical value of prehistoric sites and allow visitors to experience the lives of prehistoric people. This year, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the Amsa-dong Prehistoric Site in Seoul, the festival is organized into separate spaces themed around the four elements: 'Water, Fire, Earth, and Wind,' under the theme '6,000 Years of Breath, 100 Years of Light, 30 Years of Resonance.' Each space will feature performances suitable for the characteristics of its theme, various exhibitions, experiential and night programs, delicious food, and diverse performances, filling the three days of the festival to offer visitors a special joy that transcends past and present.
1. Main Programs: Opening and closing ceremonies, celebratory performances, opening drone show, closing firework show, street parade, Gangdong Prehistoric Singing Contest, Community Center Program Competition, reproduction of Ba 岩jeol Hojangnori (funeral custom).2. Ancillary Programs: Food market, local artist performances, etc.3. Consumer Participation Programs: Prehistoric BBQ experience, Neolithic archaeology experience school, Prehistoric healing foot bath, etc.4. Other Activities: Forest stage performances, street performances, prehistoric forest playground, prehistoric well treasure hunt, etc.
