The Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour, held at Changdeokgung Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a representative palace utilization content that has continued its popularity for 17 years since its pilot operation began in 2010. The tranquil night view of Changdeokgung Palace, which can only be enjoyed through the Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour program, features richly storied palace halls and harmonious landscaping. The special charm of the Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour is further enhanced by expert commentary and traditional art performances.
A night tour is conducted where you can naturally experience the history, culture, and landscaping of Changdeokgung Palace through the stories of a commentator. Specialized traditional art performances are held at Sangnyangjeong Pavilion and Yeon-gyeongdang Residence, and specialized guided commentary is provided for the Moonlight Tour.
Starting from Geumhomun Gate of Changdeokgung Palace, visitors can pass through Jinseonmun Gate, Injeongjeon Hall, Huijeongdang Hall, Nakseonjae Hall, and Sangnyangjeong Pavilion, then explore the rear garden areas not easily accessible normally, such as Buyongji Pond, Aeryeonjeong Pavilion, Yeon-gyeongdang Residence, and the Secret Garden forest path. The tour route is Geumhomun Gate → Jinseonmun Gate → Injeongjeon Hall → Huijeongdang Hall → Nakseonjae Hall → Sangnyangjeong Pavilion → Buyongji Pond → Aeryeonjeong Pavilion and Aeryeonji Pond → Yeon-gyeongdang Residence → Secret Garden forest path → Geumhomun Gate.
Admission is charged, and the participation fee is 30,000 won per person. A 50% discount applies to disabled persons (severe (formerly grades 1-3) including oneself and one companion, mild (formerly grades 4-6) limited to oneself) and national merit recipients and holders of national veterans registration cards (limited to oneself).
